P002 → Pillow Walk Integration- Aldo



   
 
I was tasked with bringing the pillow walk concept to men’s fashion athletic shoes. At the time, the Aldo was using a specific foam on their in-socks called pilow-walk. Since it was a new technology, we had a big opportunity to expand on this concept.  Before the final the final idea was achieved there were a lot of attempts. 

Originally, we wanted to bring the rebound idea through the midsole; we wanted to create a branded texture where the rebound technology would be inserted, so in my research,  I found some brands that were experts on the subject.

Unfortunately due to pricing, we were not able to add the foam to this style but it was still released to the market as Polyspec.

However, we were willing to retry and be successful on this task so the following season we retried it, taking into account the possible pricing obstacles, we decided to make the foam area smaller and divided it into strategic areas, on the heel and the ball area.
